Have a Fling with Springs Romantic Foods

Spring, Aphrodites reigning season, presents a myriad of fresh, delicious foods that burst with aphrodisiac power. Just a walk through your local Farmers Market yields a cornucopia of libido-lifting foods. March 16, 2004--Asparagus is perfectly delicious roasted, steamed or saut. It is listed as a powerful aphrodisiac in ancient Arabian manuals.

Artichokes are the symbol of seduction itself, each meaty leaf peeled exposing the heart. Eat them steamed with warm balsamic vinaigrette for dipping.

Beets roasted, sliced and then cut into heart shaped sizes with a cookie cutter make a definite statement when served in a Heart Beet Salad.

Snow peas saut in sesame oil make a wonderful accompaniment to broiled halibut, which is also finds spring as its peak season.

Strawberries are ambrosia to lovers. Dip them in chocolate or serve them over shortcakes to make a special spring statement.
